I wanted to share my recent 'discovery'. There are differing thoughts as to what age is the tastiest for rabbit. Typically, fryer age is thought to be the most tender.

Well, recently I cooked up a roaster, in the crockpot (as usual) onlt to find that it was more tender and most definitely more flavourful than a fryer!!! My daughter and nephew actaully thought it was dark turkey meat! And I cooked it the exact same way as a fryer.

My preferrence now is we let our fryers grow a bit longer, to the roaster age. This way we can also have usable furs!
